King Bey!

Am I the only one that thinks Beyonce looks absolutely amazing pregnant? OMG! She's completely glowing and still looks stunning in her mini's and 5 inch heels.

Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you have to look drab. Beyonce embodies fashion and she doesn't let her pregnancy stop her from being fashionable. She embraces her pregnancy by dressing well which lets everyone know that she is truly happy.

TEYANA TAYLOR!!!!!

Let me just start this off by saying that I absolutely love Teyana Taylor! She embodies fashion. Period. She is probably one of the only people that can look absolutely stunning in boyfriend jeans, a tank, and jordans - as well as, an amazing dress and Versace heels.

Exhibit A:

Boyfriend jeans, tank, and jordans. She looks amazing :-)

Amazing dress and Versace heels.

Told you she'd look amazing in both. Her style is amazing and she has a breath taking face. Its obvious that she knows what she's doing when it comes to style. Keep it up, Teyana <3

Blazer trend

I bet you've been seeing blazers everywhere you go. Supermarket, gas station, the mall, a fashion magazine, etc. Blazers are making a huge comeback on the trend scene!

Now don’t get me wrong, blazers have been around for years.  They started out as something men would wear and eventually seeped into the closets of ladies as well.  So they haven’t ever actually left but it’s great to see them on the list of trends for 2009. Blazers were mostly worn in corporate America until an amazing fashionista thought to pair a blazer with a pair or jeans or leggings.

I love the way a good blazer can make an outfit look instantly more polished and pulled together. Take the leap and join the rest of the ladies wearing blazers. The great thing about blazers is that they come in so many different fabrics so you can own more than one and achieve a separate type of look with each one.

The Anointed Chenaniah Praise Dancers are four highly anointed sisters (left to right: Briana 17, Ashanti 22, Toni 20, and Tiffany 19) from beautiful Boynton Beach, Florida. These beautiful young women have turned a gift for graceful, innovative dance into a form of expressive worship. As a result has become a full-time ministry that has served before hundreds of thousands of people over the last eleven years.

Chenaniah hosts their very own conference every year entitled Dancing With Authority (DWA). DWA offers classes like: Entertainment vrs. They also offer hands on classes such as: Praise dance, Flag worship, Mime, Hip Hop and more. DWA is a life changing conference. I had a blast at DWA 2011 and I am looking forward to DWA 2012!

Chenaniah's parents are Pastors Anthony and Carla Mays, pastors of Restoration House Empowerment Ministries International (RHEMI). They have a younger sister Acacia who is also a dancer and member of Shekinah Sky.

It is Chenaniah's prayer to that God be glorified through this ministry of worship through the arts. Their goal is to see dance restored back into the church as a true form of praise and worship.

This week's style notes:

Haute looks from the scene at couture fashion shows in Paris.

Be creative - Try a look that may be a little out of the box.
Know your limits - We can't all be a Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj.
Don't overdo your look - There's a fine line between being different and being tacky. Don't make your outfit look too busy. If it does look too busy, try a solid colored pant or shirt.

Ultimately, you need to OWN your look. Work it! Be daring! You are your own judge. Don't worry about what everyone thinks. Be individualistic. The world is your runway!

Take notes :-)

A fashion revolution

Damany Leggett is a composer/songwriter under Mizfitz Soundz. He's made music for artists such as Joe Budden, NOE, J. Oliver, The Floacist, and others. I think he should be a model or some type of fashion critic. His style is amazing.

Over the years, most fashion icons have been famous women or women in the fashion industry. I actually admire fashionable men because it's not always easy to be posh. Trends are set either by the fashion industry or celebrities. The fashion industry can be unpredictable. What it sees as acceptable today can be laughable tomorrow. Celebrities can set trends by merely being popular and the incessant desire of people to imitate them. Celebrities can outlast the fickleness of the media, but whatever trends they create during that period do not. The danger of following trends is that you are always at the mercy of fickleness which will alway prevent you from grounding yourself and creating your own style.

I feel like Damany completely embodies what being a fashionable man is. His style is amazing. He has a sort of effortless couture swag that I love so much.

If you develop your style properly, away from the ever changing trends at times there will be trends that hint at your own style. Whenever this happens, do indulge a little in trends, but always make sure to get out when it has left your style. I cannot stress the importance of your own style enough. In creating your own style you find a little of yourself and bring it out for everyone to see. Trends are not create by you and therefore do not represent you, beware trends and embrace style.

The fashion turban RETURNS, again.

The turban never vanished, but, it has been laying low for a while. Recently, this dormant trend has quietly, but assertively, surfaced at fashion shows and on city streets.

WEARING a turban demands confidence. You have to really believe in your look. You have to commit — it’s a turban, after all. If you use hats to hide uncooperative hair or to keep a low profile, the turban is not a smart choice.

The turban demands respect. It wants to be noticed. If you would like to create the turban, try using bright or patterned fabrics.

Command attention and work it ;-)

Street Fashion

Street fashion is a term used to describe fashion that is considered to have evolved not from studios, but from your own personal fashion. Street fashion is associated with youth culture and is most often seen in major urban centers. Most major youth subcultures have had an associated street fashion. Examples include:
* Hippies (denim, T-shirts, long hair, flower power and psychedelic imagery, flared trousers)
* Teddy Boys (drape jackets, drainpipe trousers, crepe shoes)
* Punk fashion (ripped clothing, safety pins, bondage, provocative T-shirt slogans,Mohican hairstyle)
* Skinheads (short-cropped hair, fitted jeans, Ben Sherman button-up shirts, Fred Perry polo shirts, Harrington jackets, Dr. Martens boots)
* Gothic fashion (black clothing, heavy coats, poet shirts, big boots, makeup).
Hip hop fashion (501 Levis, ECKO, South Pole, Avirex, Sean Jean, NIKE)

One of my favorite types of fashion is in fact STREET FASHION. That effortless couture that everyone dreams to recreate. Not all of us can accomplish this unique style but we all seem to love it.

Fashion month isn't over yet but we can already spot more than a dozen new fall trends that we can’t wait to wear.

I hope the weather gets a little better so I can wear a light jacket and thigh high boots :-)

Fabolous vs. Ray J

Of course Fab couldn't let "Little Red Riding Hood" get away with those smart remarks. He completely shuts Ray J with his explosive response to Ray J's interview on The Breakfast Club.

Ray J vs. Fabolous

A very angry and frantic Ray J also known as "Brandy's little brother" called into The Breakfast Club on power 105.1 in NY yesterday morning release his frustrations. According to Ray J, he "punched" rapper Fabolous in the face during a brawl the had in Las Vegas this past weekend.  Ray J got kicked out of the Palms Hotel and was arrested but later released. He boasts that he has an indoor  and outdoor pool, an indoor and outdoor basketball court, and even 7 Rolls Royces. RIGHT.

Of course the two were at the Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight. The two exchanged a few words according to Fabolous.

During the talk Ray J had with The Breakfast Club about the fight, he said, "He's running from me right now! He wouldn't even leave the club.  He scared."  He also told listeners that "his homies" saved Fab's life before so he's mad Fab is trying to disrespect him.
How did all the commotion start?  A few days ago Fabolous said on Twitter,

"Nah but Floyd saying we havin a concert in my living room & the camera cuts to Ray J singing "One Wish" on the piano had me in tears!!
Get it..? Ray J concert in the living room!! *Lil Wayne voice*"
So Ray J and "the money team" took this as a diss.
